Excellence!

Your cartoons have all the components that make a great flash. Stunning style, extremely well animated, original characters, very good voiceacting, nice sound effects and good music. The only aspect that I find a little weak is the humor, but the movies are still very very entertaining. I understand how many sleepless nights stand behind reaching this quality of work. I salute your devotion to animation. You are tremendously talented and you should keep creating your great movies. You are entering my favorite artists list.
There is something about your creations that make me sad though. It has nothing to do with you, it's the reception of your animations. No daily 1st so far and only one movie on the front page for a short period of time. The fact that your stuff is seriously underrated makes me mad at the newgrounds fad community and discourages me as an artist.
Just letting you know, there are people that like what you do, so keep flashing.
The only reason I don't give you a 10 is because I expect more great stuff from you. And I expect you to get even better. Good luck, my friend.

Cheers bro!

Aye i will keep animating, i have a taste for it and i'm going to stick with it!

Funniest 10 seconds in all your work ever

"This is a stupid painting, stupid painting, stupid painting" - this makes me laughing out loud every time I watch it, man. This simple and unexpected comment is the best moment of Blockhead. Ever. Thank you for making me laugh, sir.

Hey!

Hey, that was pretty good, man, the 3d Pico was hilarious. Too bad it will most likely pass unnoticed. But, hey, if I was Tom Fulp my ego would probably send this to the front page so who knows...
Good luck with future works.

As long as you noticed it was all worth it.

???

There is something wrong with your preloader. It displays the "play" button way before the who movie loads. This causes an extreme lag. Took me a while to figure it out. Try to fix it before it's too late. Other than that, not a bad movie (once you wait for it to load), but very short. So I give 3/5 and 5/10 because: I take 1 star off for quality (not bad but can be better), 1 star for length (can be longer), 1 star for the preloader glitch and 2 stars for the ridiculous file size. For a movie that is probably less than 30 seconds, this should be not more than a megabyte. But not bad overall, keep making them :)

Good

Good to see you improve upon your last submission. Music fitted well, now is time to start using sound effects - when a huge anvil falls it's good to hear it, also a kalashnikov sound would be nice. I'm not saying you should work more on that flash, forget about it and start a new movie. Your animation style is beautiful and is the reason for me to write this review. Keep kreating, krazehawk.

krazehawk responds:

Thanks for the review, I actually had some sound effects in the clip but I felt that they clashed too much with the music so I took them out. My next clip will definitely have some sound effects in it because it most likely won't have a song in the background, probably just some ambient music that you only hear when there's nothing else happening. I'm glad you liked my style, it seems to be what most people like which is a nice little ego boost to help motivate me to make more.

Short.

Short.

Surprisingly good!

I have to congratulate you on your first movie, man. That was very creative. Keep it up!

Sadly...

I have to rate this high because of the Flash animation quality and effort put into it. But the song was just so terrible it made me close it after a minute and a half.
Ears... still... hurt... need... listen... something... not cheesy.

Yeah, here it is...

I was one of the first ones to watch this here on newgrounds when it was fresh out of judgement with a fantastic score of 4.78 or something. Why I didn't review - I was dubious. I wasn't sure how I feel about it. Now I think I'm more clear.
Let's start with expectations: Probably at least 90% of the visitors on this site know what Brackenwood is and a lot of people knew that it's coming and were waiting patiently for it to come. This puts you under a lot of pressure and you dealt with it in a good manner. Graphics are incredible, as always, but that is expected when you release a cartoon. I was curious to find out what the hell waterlollies are, and you met the expectations there also - clever idea.
There are a lot of things that bug me about this movie though.
The first thing - style. For me this is not a Flash movie. This is something to be shown on TV. My concept about web flash animation is that it's something underground, something that you cannot see on TV, that's why I visit sites like newgrounds - to watch cartoons that are impossible to be seen on TV. You released a cartoon that is so graphically intense that makes me lucky that I have a relatively new machine to watch it on. But what about the majority of people - yeah, they can probably watch it on low quality without too much lag, but watching Waterlollies on low in just plain WRONG. Because it's strength is in the graphics.
The fact that you chose Flash for your development as an artist is like a heavyweight boxer who goes into the lightweight category to kick some ass. It is simply not your field.
But lets concentrate on the movie - I think strong story, but again - it ended suddenly, and I asume the reason is only one - Flash capacity. The way the action was flowing suggested another 4 or 5 minutes for resolving the story. But then the file would be 20 megs - completely unsuitable for viewing in Flash format. So you had to cut it short and it's just... not working that great.
And looking at Brackenwood in general - you've created something that hits every possible target audience - from 4 to 100 years old and every social audience at the same time - and it leaves me wondering: are you having fun telling your stories or you desperately try to become popular (which you already are).
I fear that all this may look negative and this is not my intention. I admire your creativity and talent. But thats not all. This is not all it takes. You are also devoted to what you are doing and only an animator can realize all the hard work you have put in order to complete such project.
I'll confess - I've studied many of your movies stopping them frame by frame and I've learned a lot from you. It sucks that you cannot open this file offline :)))
I just felt like telling you all that.
I wish you luck with all your future projects, Adam.

"ANALYSIS: You are ill"

This quote from "Health reminder" applies perfectly on you. Start working on the second part right now, you hear! This went straight into my favorites at the respectable 3rd position. Only complaint is - the voices can be a little bit clearer next time. Also, check out my stuff and pm me what kind of medicine you use for inspiration.

uhmmm.. noone is going to watch your animations if you ask them to
